Central Falls is the smallest city in Rhode Island and is located in Providence County.Incorporated as a city in 1895, Central Falls is rich with history displaying preserved preWorld War II architecture around the city.
This diverse city has a variety of activities for residents and visitors to enjoy. Central Falls is home to River Island Campground—the only urban campground in the state. The campground sits along the Blackstone River allowing campers to kayak, canoe and fish.
Central Falls also has a city park, Jenks Park, which families and friends can enjoy. The centerpiece of the park is Cogswell Tower—a symbol of the city since being built in 1904. Today, many festivals celebrating diversity are held at the park.
Despite its small size, Central Falls is bursting with culture and local history and has a range of real estate options. The majority of the residents own multifamily homes, however is are a variety of homes for sale including lofts, apartments, townhouses and singlefamily houses.
Central Falls is one of the most densely populated cities in the country with an area of just 1.29 square miles. The flowing waters of the Valley Falls Dam and a variety of public parks and recreation fields lend a family-friendly air to this tightly knit community.
Located on the Blackstone River, the town has a long industrial history and is marked by numerous antique houses and churches. Several mills are now being converted into luxury condominiums along the river. Central Falls is also home to the Blackstone Valley Explorer, a 40 person riverboat that brings a unique look back at the area’s industrial beginnings.
